The competition begins on Saturday July 1. The tournament has 63 teams registered from all over the United States, including only three from North Carolina. The Cyclones competed in YBOA American Division nationals last year and finished as the national runner up.
"We look forward to this challenge," Cyclone coach Chuck Oxendine says. "We all know that the competition will be much tougher than last year, but we look forward to playing teams with different styles. We are down to eight players and we know it will be a challenge, but this team always responds to challenges."
The Cyclones will play teams from Indiana, Massachusetts and Maryland in their first three games.
"It will only make them better and the experience will last them a lifetime," the coach says.
