On Monday afternoon, June 19, I had a most unfortunate experience. I locked my keys in the car at a doctor's office in Southern Pines. It was over 90 degrees.
The lady in the doctor's office called a Southern Pines policeman for me, but he was unable to unlock my car and offered to call a locksmith.
I live in Quail Haven Village in Pinehurst -- out of his territory, therefore, he could not take me to get my other key.
I asked him to call Pinehurst police for me. In a very short time Carrie Powers, Patrol Division of Pinehurst Police, came to my rescue. She let me ride shotgun with her and took me to get my key. Her kindness and help made it a heart-warming and pleasurable end to the story.
Thank you, Carrie!
