The funeral service will be held Friday (today) at 2 p.m. at Bethel Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Sanders Read and the Rev. Billy Joe Brady officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Gordon was born in Hoke County Aug. 19, 1917, to the late Neil Archie and Rebecca Hendrix Smith. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by her husband, John Currie Gordon, and a son, Robert Harold Gordon.
Mrs. Gordon is survived by her son, Ronald Gordon and his wife, Ethel, of Raeford; her daughter, Joyce Jenkins of Apple Valley, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Frances Gordon of Raeford; her sisters, Rebecca Ellis and Susan Burke, both of Raeford; eight grandchildren, Carol Hutton, Kevin Jenkins, Sharon Gaddy, Rhonda Cole, Buddy Gordon, Robin Gordon, John Gordon, and Deborah Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, is handling the arrangements.
