A funeral service will be held Friday, at 11 a.m. at Pinehurst United Methodist Church with the Rev. Allen Bingham officiating.
A private entombment will be held at Pinelawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mrs. Swift was born June 28, 1931, in Auburn, Ala., to the late Edgar Fort Ward and Roxie McGriff Ward. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Swift was a charter member of the Pinehurst United Methodist Church, and served on the Altar Guild. She was a PEO member and a member of Alpha Delta Pi at Auburn University.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Swift Sr., in November 2003.
Mrs. Swift is survived by two sons, Robert Lee Swift Jr. of Gainesville, Ga., and Richard Ward Swift of New Canaan, Conn.; and 5 grandchildren.
