The funeral service will be held Sunday (today) at 2 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines with the Rev. Don Ballenger officiating. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen.
Born February 11, 1932, in Heaton to the late Claude and Mabel McGuire Greene, Mr. Greene was a retired Master Sgt. E-7 with the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Douglasville, Ga.
Mr. Greene is survived by his wife, Louise Caddell Greene; his son, Gary Greene and his wife, Cheryl, of Douglasville, Ga.; his brother, Wayne Greene of Statesville; his sisters, Bernice Mitchell of Elk Park, and Gail Phillips of Charlotte; and five grandchildren, Dorothy Greene, Donna Greene, Mary Greene, William Greene, and Jedidiah Greene.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 5811 Central Church Road, Douglasville, GA 30135.
Boles Funeral Home of Southern Pines, 425 West Pennsylvania Avenue, is serving the family.
