Aberdeen celebrates America's Birthday with fun activities on Tuesday, July 4, sponsored by the Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Department, at Aberdeen Lake Park. Activities and games will start around 5:30 p.m., with music from The Entertainers beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is free. Children can purchase a wrist band for $2 which will allow them to participate in games and a variety of activities and win prizes. Some of the activities include: face painting, panning for gems or gold at Jim's Gems and Gold, and Pony Rides. Dress in patriotic colors and participate in the Costume Contest. Prizes will be awarded in the Most Patriotic; Best Costume; and Most Original Costume categories. Food will be available from vendors. Bring blankets and lawn chairs. Nationally-known comedian Willie P. Richardson brings his family comedy show to The Robert E.
